Certificates are issued based on your work experiences.


Medical Technician Proficiency Exams – Prerequisite (Employed in a medical profession, any branch of the military, for 24 months.) If you successfully pass practical exam(s), appropriate postsecondary certificate(s) will be issued in one or more of the following disciplines. Other occupations can be added upon request.


EKG Technician – Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform EKGs.  You will be qualified to perform 12-lead EKGs with basic interpretation and documentation. 



Cardiovascular Technician - Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform as an EKG Tech, Cardiac Tech, Stress Tech, and Holter Monitor Scanner. 



Medical Billing and Coding Specialist – Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. You will be qualified for entry-level positions as a Medical Billing Specialist, Reimbursement Specialist, and Medical Coder.  You must demonstrate Superbill finalization, CMS-1500 completion, Insurance Reimbursement, Insurance Preauthorization, Co-payment processing, and CPT and ICD-9 coding. 


Medical Office Assistant - Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform as a Medical Office Assistant in the Clerical and Clinical foci.  You must demonstrate perform the following jobs: Medical Receptionist, Check-in and Check-out Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, Appointment Scheduler, Switchboard Operator, Patient Registration Clerk, Clinical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, and Medical Records Clerk. 


Medical Office Laboratory Assistant -    Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform as a Medical Office Laboratory Assistant.  You will be qualified for entry-level positions as a Lab Assistant, Phlebotomist, and Medical Records Clerk.  You will be qualified to draw blood, give injections, perform lab procedures, SOAP note documentation and understand basic pharmacology.  You will also receive instruction on laboratory protocol and understand CLIA and MSDS policies. 


Phlebotomist -   Exam is designed to allow student to demonstrate abilities to perform Phlebotomy. You will be qualified to draw blood in medical offices and clinics.  You must perform 50 successful sticks.  You must have received instruction on laboratory protocol and understand CLIA and MSDS policies.
